Hello guys , I have some fantastic news which some of you may already we well aware of.
Well last Wednesday we were told by our local vets that we were allowed to get back on Tio to start walking and trotting him around on a solid ground. So as I was at College until Friday we waited until then so I could get on him instead of my mum which didn’t do any harm to him. It felt amazing to get back on him after 8 months of him being off work and stuck in his stable 24/7 and I think he quite enjoyed it himself to be honest.
We started off doing 5 mins of walk and then had a few trots around the arena on each rein and then walked and repeated for 10 mins, We decided we would cut the time down by 5 mins for the first time because we didn’t want anything to happen and him go back to square one again. It was nerve racking for the first time as I was trying to take everything so gentle and slow so nothing went wrong , after we scared his leg with the heat scanner we recently bought and everything seamed normal. Later on that night I checked for swelling and heat and still everything was perfect and again in the morning everything was fine. We have been taking it very slowly and steady as we are in now rush to have him back in work , he will go for another scan in mid February for a update which the vets and ourselves are hoping it will be his last scan and the all clear to go forward.
Fingers crossed for him and hope the luck plays on our side this year, thanks for reading.
