Last weekend my dad and I went over to Field house for the Blue Chip Joint qualifier (1.10) , Once again it was very odd because my mother didn’t attend this show with us. It’s been a weird few weeks at shows without her but i’ll be happy when she finally comes back to them with us.
Crystal’s had the last 3 weekends off coming up to this show before a busy next year so we’ve decided to keep it steady and build it up. She’s been working well at home and improving every week which is a huge bonus for us.
We decided to jump the qualifier at Field house because it was in our area and quite close to us, We had a bit of a rough start leaving late then getting stuck in traffic which we though we would miss the course walk and the first few in. However luck played on our side and we got there with plenty of time so we didn’t have to rush around/
Crystal got very stressed in the warm up because there was so many horses and a few out of control…
In the ring she settled down a lot but sadly due to a rider error she had the 3rd fence down which was a upright with 3 strides down to a double across the arena, she then settled down and competed the rest of the course foot perfect.
Very please for her first show back in a few weeks off, We’re off to South View this weekend for both days including the Blue Chip qualifier on the Sunday. Hope to see a lot of you there and if not have a good weekend and stay safe.
