Hello guys, so back to my Mondays rant apologies as I missed last 2 weeks I completely just forgot what day I was on and I was living in at college too.
So over this past few weeks I’ve noticed a few people that have bragged about their ‘naughty’ horse , which I’m sure it’s something we all hate when are horse acts up (from a showjumpers point of view we want everything to be perfect) . From personal experiences having a naughty horse is more annoying than something to be proud about, it makes you quite frustrated trying to figure out why its happening. Anyway not the point.
I’ve noticed a few people having competitions on how naughty their horses are taking various photos and videos and sharing them online or using them as a easy way to make friends. Not always the case but I’ve later on seen them send their horse off to be ‘reschooled or sorted out’ because it has come uncontrollable and funny enough they continue to brag about how dangerous the horse is. Fair enough if they are training to become a stunt rider in the future this is no hate to them do carry on, but it seams to be people that will be wanting to sell on the pony in a few more years that are bragging about theses sorts of problems.
It makes me wonder if they are trying to show off how good of a rider they are by being able to stick onto a horse that is bucking ? I would of thought that winnings and clear rounds would be something more to brag about to sound ‘a better rider’, Personal choice though.
