Breakdown #1
we knew it would happen but..
I could kick myself, we have done a lot of very rough tracks and shaken Dogger hard, the exhaust started to blow, so we decided to cut the days short and stay in a pretty little campsite by a river and have a look at it, the owner a local called joseph was very helpful
when I built Dogger in 2016 I made a temporary exhaust that would do until the back was built, when the back was finished I could see the size and fit fo the new silencer, what I did was just modify the existing header pipe by cutting off the cherry bomb and adding the nice new stainless pipe and silencer, All good
but I forgot the bit that fastens to the flexi was an OEM BMW part and in mild steel, after 6 years it had just rotted through….Doh
I removed it and Joseph got a bush Africa bodge version made, I then refitted it after more modes in the morning, and now it rattles on the chassis like a cunt. but I live and learn
now just to refix the dodgy throttle we had in Iceland and find out why it overheats… 🙂
